Kid Smoothies

Ingredients

  • fill blender 3/4 full with milk of choice — we use organic 2% milk

  • splash of orange juice

  • large spoonful of Greek yogurt

  • 1 avocado

  • handful of spinach (I keep my Costco spinach in the freezer)

  • 1 banana (frozen or ripe)

  • fill remaining space in blender with mixed frozen fruit (I like a Costco blend with peaches, mangos and strawberries)

  • optional: half a scoop of protein powder

  • optional: chia seeds, hemp seeds or flax seeds

Instructions

  1. I use a Vitamix and combine the ingredients as listed above. Blend for a solid minute or two to make sure everything is well blended and creamy.

  2. I prefer to use Take-N-Toss cups and I put pour them all our immediately, put on lids and store in the fridge. My kids drink them all within a day or two. If you aren’t going through them quick enough you can freeze them.
